The Brunello di Montalcino Riserva di Val di Suga is a balanced blend of expression from the estate's three vineyards: Vigna del Lago, Vigna Spuntali, and Poggio al Granchio. The first, surrounding the estate, is located approximately 280 meters above sea level, with a northwest exposure. It sits on clay soil and has a microclimate tempered by the small lake. This vineyard produces fine wines, vibrant in color, with notes of citrus, chinotto, and spice. Spuntali is located near Sant'Angelo in Colle, at 300 meters above sea level, with a southwest exposure. It sits on clay-limestone soil and has a microclimate influenced by the sea and plenty of breeze. The Brunello from this vineyard is robust, with sweet tannins and a rich bouquet that ranges from candied fruit and spice to tobacco and chocolate. Poggio al Granchio is located near the Abbey of Sant'Antimo, between 320 and 380 meters above sea level, facing southeast on medium-textured, gravelly soil, with a warmer, less rainy microclimate; here, the wines acquire acidity, flavor, and fruitiness.
