Analysis and context

The camera fits into the landscape of Italian field cameras from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, characterized by handcrafted construction and a design inspired by European models of the period.
This type of camera was commonly used for landscape and architecture photography, thanks to the large format of the plates that allowed for remarkable image quality. The construction in walnut wood and the brass finishes give it an elegant and sturdy appearance, typical of field cameras of the era. The rest of the set, consisting of 13 pieces, plates, etc., from various companies and different eras, is not something I am an enthusiast or a great connoisseur of the subject, so I ask you to refer to the photos for any issues or missing parts.
