The FTb features Canon’s Quick Load (QL) system, a brilliantly designed mechanism that simplifies film loading to a single smooth motion — a hallmark of Canon engineering at the time. Inside the prism housing, a CdS through-the-lens (TTL) meter provides accurate exposure readings using a classic match-needle display in the viewfinder.

Condition

The Canon FTb operates perfectly across all shutter speeds. The viewfinder is clear, the mirror is clean and the body is close to mint condition with only minor hard to spot scratches

The RMC Tokina lens glass is clean — no haze, no fungus, only light internal dust as expected for its era. The aperture is snappy, the coatings are vibrant, and focusing is smooth and precise.

Photos were taken in natural light to highlight the optical clarity and the unmistakable mechanical presence of this pairing.

I feel it's time to find her a new home with someone that can take care of her and put her to good use.
