Description from the seller

Set of 3 antique cameras (ICA Icarette, ICA Minimum Palmos, Ernemann Heag II) – Germany 1910–1926 – Historical collectible pieces

Stunning set of three German folding cameras from before the creation of Zeiss Ikon in 1926, all from the major manufacturers of Dresden (ICA and Ernemann). A rare opportunity to own three pieces of early 20th-century German photographic history, ideal for passionate collectors, decorators, ...

1. ICA Icarette (plate model, non-automatic deployment) A magnificent medium format camera made by ICA (Internationale Camera A.-G.), Dresden, around 1912-1926.
• Film 120 (still available today)
6 × 9 cm format
Bellows and textured leather in good original condition.
• Two viewfinders (bright + sport)
Lens and shutter to clean, mechanism is functional, device is operational but just old.

2. Rare folding device with uprights featuring a focal plane curtain shutter (Ica Minimum Palmos).
Exceptional focal curtain folding, very fast for its time, made by Ica in 1910.
• Format plaques 9 × 12 cm or film in sheets
Aluminium case covered in black leather
Newton sporty sight on the top.
Over 110 years old! → Missing the back hatch/plate (easily replaceable or usable as is for display). Superb patina, a true museum piece. Functional!! Clear film, lens to be cleaned like the rest.

3. Ernemann Heag II – Vertical format plaques
Splendid vertical folding made by Ernemann Werke AG, Dresden, before 1926.
Robust construction, leather and metal.
Ernemann characteristic design with lateral supports.
Major historical piece → Ideal restoration project: the bellows opens easily without forcing on the mechanism (you just need to understand and know the system). Two small upper and lateral pieces are missing, but this does not impact the operation.
Perfect for an enthusiast who wishes to restore it.

These three items come from a private collection and are offered together to instantly create a coherent and prestigious set on the theme 'Dresden before Zeiss Ikon.' All display a beautiful century-old patina, normal signs of use for their age, and an inimitable charm.
Careful and insured shipping.
A rare opportunity for enthusiasts of German photographic history!
