Description from the seller
ISO Duplex Super 120 (1956) - Italian stereoscopic camera - Iriar 35mm lenses
description of the object
A jewel of the Italian photographic industry: a rare ISO Duplex Super 120, produced in Milan by the 'Industria Scientifica Ottica' (ISO) around 1956. This stereoscopic camera is renowned for its unique design and its ability to create pairs of 3D images on standard 120-format film.
The 'super' model is the most advanced version, equipped with a pair of 35mm f/3.5 lenses and a shutter with speeds up to 1/200 second, superior to the basic fixed-focus model. A distinctive feature is the image format (about 24x24mm), which allows for up to 24 stereoscopic pairs on a single roll.
A highly sought-after collectible piece, testament to Italian optical excellence of the post-war period, often compared in build quality to the finest German creations.
