A special cheese dome from 1939, designed by glass artist Andries Dirk Copier for the Glasfabriek Leerdam / Royal Leerdam. Andries Dirk Copier was a leading figure at Glasfabriek Leerdam.
The cheese dome is part of the Neerlandia dinnerware from the H-collectie (Household Collection): see the last photo of the 1939 catalog (which features the silver-green variant; cheese dome in silver-green). This amber-colored variant is less commonly encountered!

This cheese dome has a beautiful amber / brown color. The tray has a raised edge at both ends for a good grip.
The cheese dome has vertical lines in typical Art Deco style. The handle is very special.

The cheese dome is in excellent condition. The dome is intact. The plate has some small chips on the bottom, see the last photos. They are unobtrusive.

This cheese dome is timeless and looks beautiful on a nicely set table or party table. Think of a beautifully decorated Christmas table or a table set for New Year's Eve. Of course, this dome can also serve as a butter dome or as a decorative glass art piece.
