Incredible pair of Dragon Cave Rats or Winged Chimera from the late 19th century
Today, I propose to bid on a superb pair of RAT DE CAVE models, Dragon or Winged Chimera. They are in good condition considering their age. Such pairs are occasionally found, but never together.
Back then, the cave rat was not just a decorative element because it was primarily meant to light the rooms at dawn and dusk. Therefore, it had to have a ring to be moved; here, the ring was ingeniously made from the Dragon's tail.
