Exceptional Russian Silver Kiddush Cup – 84 Zolotniki, Moscow, 1890
This is a superb and finely crafted solid silver Kiddush cup, made in Moscow in 1890, featuring a silver purity of 84 Zolotniki (875/1000). A true masterpiece of late 19th-century Russian silversmithing, it bears a full set of authentic hallmarks (see the 5 final images):
• “84” Zolotniki silver standard
• Moscow town mark
• Date mark: 1890
• Assay master A.А. – Andrei Artsybashev
• Maker’s mark И.А. – Ivan Alekseev (Listed in Postnikova-Loseva Catalogue No. 2473)
• Additional Polish import marks
The cup weighs 91.5 g and measures 13.5 cm in height.
