Description from the seller

Deck of 54 cards (90 x 60 mm) in a color-illustrated box. The colored deck was published in Marseille by André Dimanche and handcrafted using an artisanal process by Master-Cartier Grimaud in 1983. It was created based on the Marseille tarot by the surrealists present at Villa Air-Bel in 1940. The sixteen face cards (excluding the Ubu joker, by Jarry) were drawn by Arthur Adamov, Victor Brauner, René Char, René Daumal, Robert Delanglade, Oscar Dominguez, Marcel Duchamp, Max Ernst, Jacques Hérold, Sylvain Itkine, Wifredo Lam, André Masson, Benjamin Peret, and Tristan Tzara. The honor cards depict Alice, Lautréamont, Freud, Baudelaire, the Portuguese nun, Paracelsus, Novalis, Pancho Villa, and others.
