Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
A rare 1930 Christmas special issue, Petit XX – 25 December 1930, with a colour cover drawn by Hergé and signed HERGÉ, 24 pages featuring Tintin adventures including Reporter au Congo and the famous snake scene, in very good condition.
Description from the seller
Exceptional and rare Christmas booklet from 1930, Thursday, December 25, 1930, which for the occasion consists of 24 pages, a special issue, instead of the usual 16 pages.
The cover is a color composition by Hergé, featuring a Christmas tree.
One of the first signed HERGÉ colored covers.
With a central double-page spread, The Adventures of Tintin, Reporter in the Congo, and the well-known scene of the serpent eating Milou, which has marked generations of young readers of Tintin's adventures.
Good condition
Note that there are no signs of wear on the back paper, even though the Christmas booklet was thicker than the others, which usually caused the fragile newspaper paper from 1930 to wear out. For this rare booklet, there are four small punctures on the paper near the spine.
A catalogue practically never offered for sale on Catawiki, considering its extreme rarity.
Collector Hergé often absent from collections.
