In this lot, a specimen of Pectinido is auctioned, very well preserved and with a bryozoan embedded in the shell.
Predation marks from its era on the left shell are small trace fossils, evidence of durophagy by small organisms like gastropods.
Keep both complete shells.
Very aesthetic, a piece of the highest quality.
It has been treated with Paraloid inside the sandy mud sediment for consolidation; it has not been removed. The sediment is completely natural and original. The synthetic resin Paraloid B72 has been injected.
