Hieroglyphic stele. Stele for Khnum-Hotep. Controller of the Pharaoh's sacrificial tables.
Abydos, Middle Kingdom 2050-1800 BC
Height: 40 cm. Width: 20 cm.
Material: Limestone
Translation:
A sacrificial gift given by the king to Osiris: ruler of Djedu (Busiris)
Ruler of Abydos, that he may give an offering of bread, beer, oxen.
Bird of the Ka of the controller of the sacrificial table of the pharaoh Knum-Hotep
(given) by his brother, alive for his name...
