Description from the seller
This sphere was carved from a single large piece of natural fluorite crystal from China. Fluorite typically tends to form fragile, well-defined crystals that are difficult to find in sufficiently large and compact masses to allow for a perfect polishing as in this case. The mirror-polished surface reveals a complex internal architecture of cubic crystals and translucent bands that alternate in shades of emerald green, turquoise, and deep blue, with golden reflections created by subtle natural inclusions. Every corner of the sphere seems to contain a mineral landscape, a play of light and transparency that varies with the incidence of light. Fluorite is a fascinating mineral, known since antiquity for its perfect crystal symmetry and its fluorescence under ultraviolet light, from which its name derives. In the past, it was called 'fluorescent spato' and used both as an ornamental mineral and as an engraving stone. From a scientific perspective, it is a calcium fluoride (CaF₂), belonging to the cubic system, with a hardness of 4 on the Mohs scale. Symbolically, fluorite is considered a stone of mental clarity and harmony, capable of balancing energies and promoting concentration. In Eastern cultures, the green variety in particular is associated with regeneration and spiritual renewal. This sphere is ideal both as a meditation or energetic object and as a decorative element for collectors and mineral enthusiasts.
