Swayne's hartebeest is an African antelope generally considered a subspecies of hartebeests (Alcelaphus buselaphus swaynei). However, some authors recognize it as a distinct species. It is now restricted to a few protected areas in the Rift Valley in Ethiopia.

We are therefore talking about a trophy that has become increasingly rare to possess in one's collection.

The one we present is in excellent condition, with horns nourished with linseed oil revealing beautiful ring markings. This trophy is mounted on a stand that is not original.
