Marvelous tea set for 12 persons, produced by Herend - “Rotschild”Collection, well known hand painted pattern with birds perched among branches and scattered insects, gilt banding, in pristine condition.
This pattern was first created in 1850 for the Rothschild family of Europe and is considered to be the epitome of hand painting on porcelain.
Twelve different motifs portray a 19th century tale about Baroness Rothschild who lost her pearl necklace in the garden of her Vienna residence.
Several days later it was found by her gardener, who saw birds playing with it in a tree.
All pieces are marked with blue Herend shield mark and numbered.
The set include one large tea pot with yellow rose knob lid, one large sugar bowl with yellow rose knob lid, one large milk jug and twelve tea cups with twelve saucers.
All 27 pieces, including rose knob lids are in pristine condition, Like New-Never Used, NO chips NO cracks and NO repairs, please see pictures as they are part of description.

Dimensions according to Herend standards:
1 x Tea pot: diameter with handles 20 cm, height: 26 cm
1 x Sugar bowl: diameter 13 cm, height 10,5 cm
1 x Milk jug: diameter with handle 10 cm, height 9 cm
12 x Tea cups: diameter with handles 11 cm, height: 5,5 cm
12 x Saucers: diameter 13,7 cm, height 3 cm.
