Old altar figurines with patina - Dogon - Mali (No reserve price)

A lot of 9 interesting old bronze altar figures from the Dogon in Mali. Might have been used also as gold weights.

These ancestor figures were not typically made for public display but were kept in family shrines, sanctuaries. They served as ritual objects, where offerings would be made to infuse them with life force, honor the ancestors, and facilitate intercession with deities.
