Antique Sterling Silver Desk Set –

Description:
An elegant and rare complete desk set in its original presentation case, crafted by renowned British silversmiths James Deakin & Sons. This refined Edwardian/early Art Deco set includes:
• 2 inkwells made of solid sterling silver
• 1 central lidded inkwell (possibly for ink or pounce)
• 2 original sterling silver dip pens, marked “HOTZ STERLING SILVER”
• A miniature perpetual calendar with interchangeable month cards
• Original black leather-covered case with silk-lined interior and brass clasps

Each silver piece bears full British hallmarks:
• JD over WD – Maker’s mark for James Deakin & Sons
• Anchor – Birmingham Assay Office
• Lion Passant – Sterling silver (.925)
• “W” – Date letter for 1921



Condition:
Very good antique condition. Light age-related wear and patina. All original parts are present, including the pens and calendar cards. Hinges and lids in good working order.

Estimated silver weight: approx. 250–300 grams
