Large in-4 bound in full red cloth by the publisher, decorated with an original iron engraved by E. Sousse after a drawing by Henri Matisse. Original transparent dust jacket (rhodoid) perfectly preserved, complete, and not yellowed.
Edition published by Librairie Hachette in 1954, based on a model by René Bensoussan.

Original color lithograph frontispiece by Pablo Picasso, printed by Mourlot Frères, in perfect condition.
Important work dedicated to ballet, richly illustrated: numerous photographs, heliogravures, color and black-and-white reproductions, enhanced with stenciling by Nourisson and Monnier.
