Description from the seller
El Dorado, Eldorado is a legendary land full of gold in South America. The word comes from the shortened Spanish term 'el hombre dorado,' meaning 'the golden man.'
During the search for gold, the first Spanish conquistadors heard a story about 'El Dorado' — about the ritual of anointing an Indian chief with gold dust and washing in Lake Guatavitá in the Northern Andes.
The Indian Wódz would sail to the middle of Lake Guatavita on a raft loaded with piles of gold, then throw all the treasures into the water, in order to gain the favor of the gods through this sacrifice during his reign.
This legend of the gold mountains reached Europe, where many adventurers tried to find their treasure, often paying with their lives.
The legendary land of gold, El Dorado, has not been found.
The coin is original and comes with its original box and Certificate of Authenticity.
After moving the coin, the famous land of El Dorado, covered in pure gold, is revealed.
A very rare and very large silver coin gilded with gold in mint condition UNC is sought after. It is extraordinary and spectacular; I highly recommend it.
