An antique games compendium including a chess set dating from 1880.

The chess set is a boxwood and ebonised Staunton pattern competition chess set, two white pawns are associated and three others have ink staining, the Kings stand 9cm (3.5") high and the base diameter is 3.7cm (1.456"),

The compendium also includes:

A complete bone and ebony Dominoes set, 28 tiles.

A complete Boxwood and Ebony Draughts (Checkers) set, 30 Draughts in total.

Two Boxwood dice shakers and six Dice, four bone and two more recent.

Four painted lead horses (two missing) and board.

A Go Bang board (counters not present).

A Spillikins game with Boxwood container.

The mahogany box measures 44 x 25.5 x 9.5cm, it comes with a key but the key does not operate the lock.
