Rated Excellent on Trustpilot.
Rare January 1, 1931 fascicle, part of the mid-run print with the misnumbered 52 corrected during printing, featuring Tintin: Reporter in Congo on the double central plates, in good condition with a small loss at the lower-right corner of the cover and a minor tear on the back cover.
Description from the seller
Very, very rare issue from Thursday, January 1, 1931, which is part of the middle of the print run, as it has the peculiarity of not bearing the number 52, an incorrect numbering from 1930. This mistake was corrected during the print run.
Any beautiful collection should possess both features of this rare booklet's printing, which is almost always found in poor condition, as these copies were typically at the top of stacks of booklets in attics, which greatly damaged them under the influence of light.
This booklet features, on the central double page, the adventures of Tintin, Reporter in the Congo, and the famous scene of the snake eating Milou, then swallowing its own tail, which has made generations of readers laugh.
This booklet is considered very rare, in very good condition, and absent from many collections.
Good overall condition. Noted a small paper loss on the lower right corner of the cover, although the booklet is in very good condition. There is a small tear at the bottom of the back cover.
A very rare lot, especially with this beginning of the print run 'Number 52' corrected, ideal for a nice framing.
Very good waiting area 'numero52 corrected'.
