The engraved copper/brass dial measures 23.5 cm in diameter, with an overall height of 52 cm.

Salter is a British brand of household items. Founded in 1760, Salter has been developing precision products for over 260 years. It is a market leader in kitchen and bathroom scales and one of the oldest consumer brands in the United Kingdom. The company began its operations in late 1760 in the village of Bilston, England.
In 1825, it became known as George Salter & Co. George later opened a manufacturing site in the city of West Bromwich. The West Bromwich Albion football team was founded by workers from this yard.
