Viaggio in Sicilia by Franco Fontana, signed on the front free page, a 178-page original Italian photography book published by Grafis in Bologna (1992) with a dust jacket in excellent condition.
Description from the seller
Exceptionally signed copy on the front flyleaf by Franco Fontana (born in 1933), unique and unavailable in signed copies. 178 pages and approximately 150 color photographs, mostly printed full-page or double-page, with some brief literary texts in Italian at the beginning of the book (Guy de Maupassant, René Bazin, Luigi Pirandello, Salvatore Quasimodo, Virgil, Homer). Very beautiful red cloth binding with the title embossed in white characters on the cover and spine, and an illustrated dust jacket.
To view the photographic series in full screen, double-click on a photograph, then you can return to the standard display at any time.
In this book about Sicily, Franco Fontana photographs both the beauty of its archaeological landscapes and the beauty of its natural landscapes, including the inland countryside and marine scenery. True to his photographic style, he combines lines, shapes, and colors with great economy of means, which often allows him to achieve a level of abstraction similar to modern painting. With extremely simple forms, he composes abstract landscapes that bring together two or three areas of color.
Book from my personal collection, in excellent condition (like new), carefully preserved. Shipping is very securely protected and international postal tracking is guaranteed. In case of multiple purchases, combined shipping is possible with a refund of any excess postal fees paid via Paypal.
