This impressive Megalodon tooth originates from the United States, where fossils like these are found directly on the seabed. This results in a beautifully robust appearance and an authentic, 'aged' look – purely natural.
Compared to fossils from other sites, such as Indonesia, USA teeth are known for their solid, strong roots and high level of originality. Indonesian teeth can sometimes show sharper serrations and smoother enamel due to the type of sediment in which they are found, but they are also more frequently restored or even partially reconstructed. In the USA, restoration is much less common, which means that most finds – like this specimen – have remained fully authentic.
This tooth is 100% original and not restored, with a powerful root and beautiful natural details. A special and honest piece for the serious collector who values authenticity.
