Description from the seller
General:
What a beauty this Brazilian Volkswagen T1 Samba de Luxe bus from 1971 is, with 23 windows, an opening folding roof, open Safari windows, and a beautifully new interior. Take a look at the more than 100 photos and convince yourself!
Stylish color combination of Velvet Green with Lotus White roof and chrome details.
BODYWORK/PAINT:
This original VW T1 from Brazil was fully restored last winter and two-tone sprayed by an experienced T1 workshop in Brazil. It is not an original Samba but a gorgeous Samba replica with all the details and sun windows. The bus is fully repainted in the luxury color combination “Velvet Green with Lotus White roof.” The black piping, two-tone rims and chrome details complete this little bus! Also the chassis, axles and doors have been color-sprayed to match. The interior of the bus is also fully repainted.
TECHNICAL:
This T1 features the well-known air-cooled 1500 cc four-cylinder engine. The engine starts and runs well, the transmission works fine.
INTERIOR:
Inside, a completely new interior has been installed. Fully new upholstery, new curtains, new headliner, new side panels, new seats, sun visors and of course a new sliding roof. The seats are truly beautifully upholstered with a combination of white artificial leather, chrome details and black piping (matching the exterior). The small windows are pop-up Samba windows, i.e. they flip open. A new, original chromed Volkswagen logo up front, original VW wheels with chrome hubcaps and color-matched painted rims. The curtains, white-wall tires and the imperial double roof complete this bus. Even the VW logo on the imperial isn’t missing!
DOCUMENTS:
This van was imported from Brazil and still has Brazilian license plates. All import duties are paid and the customs documents and the Brazilian registration document are of course included. You must register the van in your own country for authorization.
OTHER INFORMATION:
Before the van is road-ready, a few adjustments and repairs will still need to be made to meet all European requirements. We therefore advise budgeting an additional 10% for costs (estimate). This is a private sale, so no warranty applies. The van must be picked up within 14 days after the auction.

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
