Description from the seller

HELA-BOB collection set (Karl Heusser, Munich, ca. 1952–1958)

Two four-man bobsleds and one two-man bobsled – original 1950s cast models with age-appropriate signs of use.

This collection includes three historic HELA-BOB miniature bobs from the 1950s, produced by Karl Heusser, Munich. All pieces feature the characteristic HELA casting and the original patent marking 'PAT. 857008'. The set displays different color and figure variations, as well as typical signs of use and minor damages, as are common in authentically preserved examples of this toy series.

Four-man bobsled – yellow, driver in blue and white (circa 1954–1956)
Features

Yellow metal casting body, HELA-typical shape.

Four original drivers in blue-white livery.

Patent minting 'PAT. 857008'

Length approximately 18 cm.

Condition & Damages

Steering wheel missing (only the mounting axle present)

Figures with minor paint chips, mainly on helmets and boots.

Lack of the Bob body with numerous play-induced chips.

No cracks, no structural breaks, all figures complete.
Overall condition: satisfactory (2–3)

Four-man bobsled – yellow, driver in green and white, export decal (ca. 1956–1958)
Features

Yellow metal casting body

Four original hand-painted drivers in green-white design.

Front side partially preserved export decal (US flag)

Original steering mechanism with metal steering wheel

Length approximately 18 cm.

Condition & Damages

A driver figure has a damaged or partially missing foot/leg area (visible material loss).

Steering wheel fully present, but with age-related deformations.

Decal heavily rubbed off.

Lack of the Bobkörper with clear signs of use.
Overall condition: good–fair (2–3), rare color series despite damage to the figure.

Two-man bobsled – blue, driver in yellow and white (c. 1952–1955)
Features

Two-person sleds in HELA blue

Two original drivers in yellow-white.

Partially preserved front sticker

Length approx. 13 cm.

Condition & Damages

Front decal rest heavily worn.

Defect with severe chipping.

Figures with minor paint loss, but complete and undamaged.
Overall condition: satisfactory (3)

The set documents three variants of the HELA-BOB production and shows typical age-appropriate signs of use. Despite damages, it remains an authentic, collectible ensemble, consisting of:

two variants of the four-man bobsled (blue-white and rare green-white drivers)

an export execution with US flag decal

an early two-man bobsled in blue

The condition is mainly kept original, which is important for collectors of historical metal toys.
