Original, rare edition of this beautiful work dedicated to the history of the print room at the National Library, followed by a 'researcher's guide.'
Limited edition of 425 copies on beautiful ivory paper (vellum?), adorned with 32 black-and-white plates outside the text.
Bound in Bradel style with half-havana glazed calfskin, with a rounded spine decorated with the title and date in gilt lettering. Gilt head. Covers and spine preserved.
In good condition. Solid binding showing some wear to the edges and corners. Interior fresh and clean in excellent condition. Beautiful copy.
