Description from the seller

Beautifully preserved Aiglon Rex twin-lens reflex camera, made in France around 1950.
These TLRs were intended as affordable alternatives to the more expensive Rolleicord/Rolleiflex models, but today they are mainly appreciated for their elegant French design, Art Deco front plate, and rarity outside France.

Features

Brand: Aiglon Rex (France)

Type: Twin-Lens Reflex – 6×6 on 120 roll film

Lens (taking lens): ATOS-II REX, 75mm

Sluiter: speeds B, 1/25, 1/50, 1/100, 1/150

Viewfinder lens: Aiglon standard viewer optic

Origin sticker: Made in France

Distributor sticker rear side: Fotocinehouse Amersfoort (Dutch importer)

Condition

Camera body: good condition, typical signs of use on metal edges, upholstery intact.

Lens: glass with light marks and possible dust/haze (common in French TLRs).

Sluiter: works on all settings but has not been tested for accuracy.

Viewer: functions, magnifying glass with usage marks.

Movement: clean for age

Case: original leather Aiglon Rex case in good condition, with patina.

Not tested with film. Functionality of the shutter and transport cannot be guaranteed.

Why do collectors like this?

Beautiful French TLR, much rarer than German or Japanese variants.

The ATOS-II lens is a characterful triplet with a classic 1950s rendering.

Original case completes the set.

Decorative and suitable for photography for enthusiasts of vintage photography.
