Description from the seller

A collector's item with a story!
This centerpiece stands out for the richness of its ornamentation, which combines the opulence of classical styles with the fluidity characteristic of the Art Nouveau era. Manufactured by the prestigious Spanish brand ALCOR, its age and original patina give it unparalleled value and character.
-Origin: Spain
-Author/Manufacturer: ALCOR Brand (engraved and worn mark on the edge of the smooth center)
-Material: Silver-plated alpaca (known as German silver or Maillechort in France)
-Technique: Stamping, High-Definition Embossing, and Electroplating.
-Style: Transitional Eclecticism/Art Nouveau (Modernism). The highly detailed floral and wine motifs are typical of this period.
-Estimated Period: Late 19th - Early 20th Century (c. 1890 - 1920)
-Ornamentation: Elaborate decoration of grape bunches, vine shoots, vine leaves, and floral motifs on the brim. The inner edge features a scalloped pattern resembling segments or shells. Polished and smooth center.
-Measurements: Total diameter: 30 cm; Height to the rim: 5.8 cm
-Mark/Stamp: Engraved "ALCOR" on the rim of the smooth center, showing the wear and patina typical of an older piece.
-Condition: Very good condition. Recently cleaned to reveal the silver's luster, while preserving the patina in the recesses of the reliefs. The mark is worn from years of use, confirming its age. No visible dents.
This centerpiece is not merely a functional object, but a decorative gem that reflects the exquisite detail and quality of late 19th-century or early 20th century silverware. Its Art Nouveau design, featuring a vine and harvest theme, makes it a perfect focal point for any classic or modernist setting. It is ideal for collectors of high-quality silverware or for anyone seeking a centerpiece with superior historical and aesthetic value.
