Exceptional gilded bronze desk inkstand
Art Nouveau style – circa 1900-1910
Superb inkwell and catchall tray with naturalist floral decor, of rare elegance and finely chiseled craftsmanship of remarkable finesse.
Entirely crafted in solid bronze, it features an undulating surface with smooth, flowing curves, decorated with poppies and stylized foliage in the purest spirit of Art Nouveau.
In the center, the inkstand itself is topped with a lid featuring a flower-shaped handle, itself richly carved with petals and leaves.
The original glass beaker is present, with slight old imperfections on the upper rim (visible in the photographs), which do not diminish the majesty of the piece and testify to its authentic history.
