Roman Bronze Hand Holding Laurel Wreath – From a Small Statuette – Mounted as a Unique Pendant – Beautiful Deep Green Patina
Circa 1st – 3rd Century AD

A finely detailed Roman bronze hand, originally part of a small statuette, shown grasping a symbolic laurel wreath—a traditional emblem of victory, honour, and divine status in Roman culture.

This rare fragment has been sensitively adapted into a wearable pendant, preserving its historical integrity while offering a striking way to display an authentic piece of antiquity.

The bronze displays a rich, deep green patina, developed naturally over centuries, enhancing both its aesthetic and its authenticity.

Size: 2.5 x 2 cm

on a approx. 17in string

Condition:
Fragment in fine condition with visible details. Some surface wear consistent with age. Now strung on a modern cord, ready to wear or display.

Ex-European private collection, acquired before 2000.
