Old ornamental oval box in 800 silver with gold plating (19th/20th century)
Small and elegant oval box, ideal for snuff or pills, dating from the late 19th or early 20th century.
• Material: Prata 800 (European standard).
Decoration: The lid and sides feature beautiful ornamental work in relief with motifs of dotted spheres (beading) and segmented oval shapes.
Golden Interior: The inside of the case features a gold bath (vermeil), a technique used to protect the silver and preserve the content.
• Stamps: Marked with the purity stamp '800', indicating the silver content, and a master mark, suggesting a origin from Continental Europe.
• Dimensions: 2 cm in height, 6/4 cm in diameter.
