The Channel Islands Audio VDA-2 DAC + VAC-1 power supply is a high-quality, discrete D/A converter with coaxial SPDIF (up to 24-bit / 192 kHz) and Toslink (up to 96 kHz) inputs, a low-jitter CS8416 receiver, and a Burr-Brown PCM1794 DAC chip for balanced and precise audio reproduction. The output stage is fully discrete and feedback-free ('zero feedback'), with separate single-ended and balanced outputs, contributing to a clear soundstage and an analog character. The external VAC-1 power supply provides 14 VAC 1.44 A and notably improves the noise floor, dynamic range, and bass response when used instead of the standard power supply.


To ensure proper delivery of this product, it is carefully packed in very sturdy boxes, wrapped in bubble wrap with plenty of padding material.
