Schneider Kreuznach Tele-Variogon 4/80–240mm M42 lens, from around 1960–1970, in good physical condition and not tested.
Description from the seller
This Schneider-Kreuznach Tele-Variogon 85–240mm f/4 M42 is presented in a very solid condition, maintaining all the robustness and optical quality that characterize the legendary German manufacturing.
The body shows signs of use typical for its age, with minor scratches on the paint that do not affect its performance in any way. The zoom and focus rings turn smoothly, maintaining the original precision and firmness. The diaphragm responds correctly, with clean blades and no traces of oil, ensuring precise control of the aperture.
The optics, both front and rear, are in good condition, with no notable scratches or damages that could compromise image quality. Slight internal dust particles are visible, common in vintage lenses, but they do not affect optical performance. The coatings remain effective, providing good sharpness and contrast.
Overall, this is a vintage piece in very good functional and aesthetic condition, ready to continue producing images with great character on analog equipment with an M42 mount or on modern digital cameras via adapter. A collectible and usable lens, perfect for those who value classic optical engineering by Schneider-Kreuznach.
