Description from the seller
This Alessi ''Dressed'' pierced basket for pasta is a striking example of how functional objects can be transformed into works of art. Designed by Marcel Wanders, this piece combines playful elegance with thoughtful craftsmanship, making it a standout addition to any kitchen.
Wanders challenges traditional design conventions by placing decoration not on the most visible or prominent areas, but in more secluded, unexpected spots, sometimes in areas that are not normally seen at all. This “introverted decoration” creates a rich, intricate visual language, combining floral, slightly baroque motifs with an overall sense of elegance and lightness. The result is a design that is both sophisticated and delightfully whimsical, perfectly reflecting Wanders’ unique approach to contemporary design.
This pierced basket is ideal for serving pasta or other dishes, allowing functionality and artistry to coexist. Its elegant, refined details make it as suitable for display as for daily use, offering a touch of sculptural beauty to the table.
This Alessi ''Dressed'' pierced basket is in a new and unused condition. Delivered with original packaging
