Description from the seller
A monumental specimen of natural quartz covered by a singular layer of white spotted agate, formed deep within Madagascar's geological cavities. The sculpture, carved from a single block, displays the meeting of two mineral worlds: the core of crystalline quartz and its external layer of agate, which develops like an organic skin, drawing irregular patterns and unique light contrasts. The interior, of compact and translucent quartz, reveals a clear heart, crossed by veins of oxides and natural microfractures that testify to the pressures endured during the crystal's growth. The agate manifests in a play of milky spots and transparent zones, with gray-blue orbicules alternating with surfaces of opaline white. This dialogue between light and matter results from a very slow process: millions of years ago, silica-rich solutions filled volcanic cavities, depositing successive layers of quartz and chalcedony. The alternation of microelements and impurities created the complex textures that, now polished and polished, reveal the internal geometry of the stone. With its sculptural appearance and deep luster, this piece represents an exceptional natural formation of ornamental value, ideal for refined environments, art spaces, and high-level collections. A perfect meeting between the purity of quartz and the painterly grace of agate.
