Möller Anamorphot 46/2x Cinemascope Anamorphic lens

The Möller Anamorphot 46/2x is a projection anamorphic lens produced in Germany (Möller, Wedel) during the 1950s–1970s, designed for the Cinemascope format. Today, it is highly sought after by collectors and filmmakers for its unique optical character.

- Type: anamorphic projection lens, with a 2x compression factor (horizontal).
original use: mounted in front of a standard projection lens to achieve the widescreen format.
Modern adaptation: it is used as a front lens in front of photographic optics (Canon FD, Zeiss, Kern, etc.) via clamp or rehousing.
Optical rendering
Very evident horizontal flare.
Typical oval bokeh of anamorphic.
Compact image with a strong vintage character.
Compatibility: it works best with medium-tele focal lengths (40–85 mm on full frame), while on smaller sensors, shorter focal lengths can be used.
Focus: double (taking lens + anamorphot), so it requires patience and precision.

Good conditions, tested on EOS 5D Mark IV. Possibly lenses need internal cleaning.
