This collectible specimen comes from the renowned Huanzala Mine, one of Peru's most prolific mineralogical sites and famous for the quality of its crystalline combinations. The sample features a richly crystallized matrix of pyrite, with golden metallic reflections that add brightness and depth to the piece. In striking aesthetic contrast, numerous transparent calcite crystals develop, exhibiting a rare hexagonal habit that is extremely well-defined, with perfectly sharp and satinated terminations.
The calcite crystals are harmoniously distributed across the entire matrix, forming a three-dimensional 'bouquet' of high aesthetic and crystallographic value. This formation is rare even by Huanzala standards, where calcite more commonly appears in scalenohedral or rhombohedral habits rather than hexagonal.
