From a series of 830 engraved prints with allegorical cityscapes, published between 1623 and 1632 in Frankfurt am Main by Daniel Meisner and Eberhard Kieser. About eighty of these prints depict Dutch and Belgian cities. Each print features a motto or saying at the top, with a two-line verse in Latin and a four-line verse in German, both at the bottom. Usually in the foreground are emblems, symbolic images. For several cities in the Netherlands, the prints were based on Lodovico Guicciardini's Descrittione di tutti i Paesi Bassi.
Good condition, fully blank 13.4x18 cm page with full margins, uncolored, verso blank.
