Description from the seller
Stunningly prepared trilobite with the scientific name: Crotalocephalina gibbus. This trilobite originates from the Devonian near the town of Al Nif in southern Morocco. During my last trip to Morocco, I visited this location as well as the workshop of the finder and preparator. It took a lot of effort and more than 15 hours to prepare this trilobite. As shown in the picture, all the spines have been preserved and are completely original. The size of the trilobite is 96 mm x 36 mm. The trilobite has been treated with a conservation agent. Collected during my last trip to Morocco in March 2023. The matrix measures 83 mm x 67 mm. This is a beautiful display piece. The photos speak for themselves.
The bottom of the matrix is screwed onto the lid of a plastic box during shipping. This prevents the spikes from being damaged during transport.
