AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Beautiful rare tooth and ancestor of the extinct great white shark; Megaselachus megalodon. This tooth originates from the region around Boujdour in the Western Sahara of Morocco. Teeth from the Priabonian are rare in Morocco. I visited this area myself several years ago. These teeth are found in excavations in the interior (see photo). The teeth are embedded in loose sand (rock) and are usually damaged and worn down. The root of this tooth was broken in the layer and has been glued. This tooth is among the better specimens found here. The tooth measures 8.3 cm.
