Erotica Larotica
Hanashi no Tokushyu
Signed,Yoshihiro Tatsuki/1972/Japanese/200*215*5
Photographer Yoshihiro Tachiki's photobook ‘Erotica Larotica (Signed)’. A master who has been active in the commercial world since the 1960s, Yoshihiro Tachiki stands head and shoulders above his contemporaries like Noriaki Kano and Tetsuya Ichimura in the realm of photographing “women” and “nudes”. Beyond commercial work, in April 1965, he published “The Angel with the Tongue Out” under the guidance of Shoji Yamagishi, the renowned editor-in-chief of Camera Mainichi. This groundbreaking 56-page feature, along with its unique illustrations blending lightness, sensuality, and dignity, generated tremendous response, solidifying Tachiki's status as an artist. This book, published in 1972, is one of his early representative works. It features a collaboration between Dina Lallo, a female painter who continued to depict “women” in Austria, and Yoshihiro Tachiki, a photographer who continued to photograph “women” in Japan. It consists of portraits and nudes of Lallo and her companions photographed by Tachiki, images from the Crazy Horse cabaret in Paris, and lithographs and paintings by Lallo. Signed by the photographer.
