Vintage Bronze Medallion by Max Le Verrier – Mid-20th Century — Seal of Thibaut de Champagne, 1271
A striking bronze medallion designed by the renowned French sculptor Max Le Verrier, depicting the historical seal of Thibaut de Champagne, Count of Chartres, Duke of Burgundy, and a prominent 13th-century nobleman. This piece pays homage to medieval heraldry and French nobility, making it a powerful decorative or collectible object.
This finely cast and patinated bronze medallion portrays a mounted knight in full armor bearing the fleur-de-lis, sword raised high, with surrounding Latin inscription. The back is engraved with “Cournoi – Sceau du XIIIe – 1271” and signed “M. Le Verrier – France”, confirming its authenticity and origin.
