1. General

1.1 These promotional terms and conditions ("Promotional Terms") apply to the sellers promotion organised by Catawiki B.V., which is held between 25.04.2025 and 01.05.2025 ("the Promotion"). 

1.2 Participation in the Promotion implies acceptance of the Promotional Terms and, to the extent not accepted previously, the Terms of Use (including, for the avoidance of doubt, the Seller and/or Buyer Terms).  

2. Participation 

2.1 Participation in the Promotion is open to sellers who are a registered seller of Catawiki and who have no object submissions or sales or cancellations associated with their Catawiki account prior to the Promotion. The participants shall be selected by Catawiki to participate in the Promotion (“Participant”).

2.2 Participation in the Promotion is free of charge.

2.3 Participants participate in this Promotion by submitting their first object on their Catawiki account between 25.04.2025 00.01 CEST and 01.05.2025 23.59 CEST (the “Participating Object”). For the avoidance of doubt: objects that are rejected for submission into an auction or cancelled by Catawiki before, during or after being listed in an auction do not count as participation in the Promotion.

2.4 Participation in the Promotion is restricted to one Catawiki account per person. A Participant cannot enter into the Promotion multiple times using secondary Catawiki accounts. 

2.5 The acceptance of a submitted object into an auction, remains at the sole discretion of the Catawiki.

2.6 Blocked users are not eligible to participate in the Promotion.

2.7 Catawiki is entitled to exclude or refuse to award a discount to a participant in a Promotion if they are of the opinion that the participant is not acting in accordance with the Promotional Terms or the Terms of Use (including Buyer/Seller Terms), has provided incorrect, incomplete or misleading information, or is otherwise committing fraud.

3. Discount

3.1 During the Promotion a 100% discount applies to the Catawiki seller success fee (the “Discount”). The seller success fee applied under the Discount shall thus amount to EUR 0.00 (nil). Please refer to article 5 of the Catawiki Seller Terms for more information about the seller success fee. 

3.2 The Discount applies to one Participating Object per Participant. 

3.3 The Discount shall not apply to any Catawiki seller success fee deviating from standard fee indicated in article 5 of the Catawiki Seller Terms. . 

3.4 The Discount shall not apply to objects with a purchase price exceeding EUR 100,000.00 (one hundred thousand euro). 

3.5 If the Participating Object is not successfully sold in auction, the Discount ceases to apply. For the avoidance of doubt, the Discount shall not apply to any subsequent submissions of the Participating Object after its initial first submission.

3.6 The Discount shall be automatically applied to the Participant’s payment for the Participating Object. 

3.7 The Discount is valid across all auction categories during the Promotion.

3.8 The Discount will be reflected in the Participant’s sales invoice for the Participating Object.

4. Use of information

4.1 By participating in the Promotion, the Participant accepts that personal data will be collected and used by Catawiki to carry out the Promotion, which also includes correspondence in the context of the Promotion. The Participant’s data will be retained for this purpose for one year. If the Participant has consented via opt-in, additional information mentioned in the opt-in can also be sent.

5. Liability 

5.1 Catawiki is not liable for any damage, direct and/or indirect, that results from or is in any way connected with the Promotion, including but not limited to:

a) any additional expenses that the Participants may incur in connection with the acceptance and use of the Promotion;

b) damage in relation to the Promotions awarded or the use thereof;

c) the completeness and correctness of the information displayed or provided by Catawiki;

d) computer and/or internet outages;

e) the result of incorrect information or contact details that were provided by the Participant;

f) damage in connection with changes to or termination of the Promotion.

5.2 Catawiki makes no guarantees regarding the Promotion that will be awarded.

6. Miscellaneous

6.1 Catawiki is entitled, at their discretion and without prior notice, to change the Promotion and/or the Promotional Terms during the Promotional period or to stop the Promotion without giving any reason. Changes to the Promotion and/or the Promotional Terms, as well as the termination of the Promotion, will be publicised by Catawiki on the appropriate website.

6.2 Cases which are not covered in these Promotional Terms shall be decided by the Catawiki.

6.3 Should one or more of the provisions in these Promotional Terms become invalid or unenforceable, Catawiki will determine a replacement provision that comes as close as possible to the purpose and purport of the invalid or unenforceable provision.

6.4 Complaints regarding this promotion can be addressed via this Contact form

 within ten days after the complaint has arisen or could reasonably have been known about, under the subject "Promotional game of chance complaint". Catawiki will handle the complaint and contact the Participant about settling said complaint.

6.5 The Promotion and Promotional Terms are governed exclusively by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from the Promotional Terms or the Promotion can only be brought before the competent court in Amsterdam.
