La storia del venditore Cresciuto in un ambiente religioso, è sempre stato affascinato dall'arte ed in particolare dall'arte sacra. La fede cattolica lo ha portato ad unire fede, religione ed arte nel desiderio di collezionare oggetti sacri ed in particolare paramenti liturgici, argenteria sacra, testi liturgici e incisioni. Ha fatto sua la frase di Giuseppe Verdi, trasformandola nel suo motto: "torniamo all'antico e sarà un progresso”!
