Born in South Africa with Italian heritage, Luca Domiro (b. 1979) is a contemporary abstract and figurative artist whose practice explores memory, emotion, and the relationship between light and shadow. Influenced by landscape, travel, and cinematic atmosphere, his paintings evoke moments that feel both deeply personal and universally familiar. After more than twenty years in the corporate world, Domiro returned to painting full-time, developing a distinctive visual language characterised by layered textures, intuitive mark-making, and a nuanced use of colour. His work moves fluidly between abstraction and representation, creating compositions that invite contemplation while retaining a powerful emotional presence. Domiro has exhibited throughout the United Kingdom, Europe, and internationally.
