 The good news is that the watch arrived in working condition. The original box, certificate and straps were so worn/old that the rubber was flaking off.  All papers and boxes had brown stains on them

This occurs when one user's bid is exactly the same as an automatic (maximum) bid placed by another user earlier. Since the auto-bid was placed first, this takes preference.
