In 1962 Gabriele Marino Affaitati, well known restorer of china, ivory, coral and hard stones, opened his workshop in Milan. Afterwards the enterprise was inherited by his son Giovanni, who during the 90’s extended the business by adding the trade of antiques, in particular porcelain and Japanese ivory objects. In 2004 Gabriele, Giovanni’s son, began to work in the workshop. He is not only named after his grandfather but mostly has his same passion for the restauration. From 2010 Gabriele inherited the family business, continuing the restoration activity and enlarging the sales branch. The laboratory in fact became also a proper antique shop, founded on the family’s tradition.
