Beautiful collection untreated natural ruby weighing 26 grams, 130 cts. The Mozambique ruby, a 21st-century discovery, is named after the country where it originates. The price, appearance, and hardness of rubies are very similar to those of other gemstones. The colored stones known as "pigeon's blood rubies" have a long history.
In different traditions, ruby is considered a precious stone that can provide protection against negative energies and the so-called evil eye.
Since time immemorial, rubies have been considered to be able to protect their wearers. That is why in the Middle Ages it was common to decorate knights' swords with these gems.
