The lamp features a broad, carinated body with a projecting spout, a large filler hole, and a D-shaped handle with a decorative thumb rest. The Seljuk Dynasty, a medieval Turkic empire spanning the 11th to 13th centuries, originated in Central Asia and expanded westward, notably securing Anatolia after the pivotal Battle of Manzikert in 1071.
